Waukee, IA: Crash during chase reported at auto auction on Wednesdy, July 29th 2015

A crash reported at the end of a chase happened at a metro auto auction site Wednesday.The crash was reported about 1 p.m. along Interstate 80 at exit 117, which is located just west of Waukee. It happened at the Insurance Auto Auctions at 3277 Ute Ave.Multiple law enforcement officers are at the scene.Officers were chasing a black vehicle starting from around the I-80/35 intersection with Highway 141. The chase continued south and then onto I-80 westbound. Speeds reached more than 100 mph at times.A trooper said the vehicle went into the ditch and then somehow jumped the fence and landed inside the auto auction.One person was taken from the scene in an ambulance. An air ambulance called to the scene was told to cancel its trip.
