Fort Wayne, IN : One person dead in crash on Coliseum Boulevard early Monday, May 2, 2016
A man is dead after the car he was in left the road, hitting a traffic signal control box early Monday.
At 2:45 a.m., Fort Wayne Police were called to the intersection of Coliseum Boulevard East and Parnell Avenue, where a car had crashed pinning the driver.
According to a statement by the Fort Wayne Police, the driver was going west on E. Coliseum Boulevard when the car left the north side of the road, hitting the control box.
When officers arrived, they found the man in the driver's seat. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police do not know what caused the driver to leave the road, it said.
The westbound lane of Coliseum Boulevard East was restricted to one lane while investigators collected evidence and processed the scene.
