Columbus, OH : 70-year-old woman struck and killed by a car in Pleasant Township on Sunday, Nov 1, 2015

Authorities say a 70-year-old woman was struck by a car and killed as she was crossing a street in Pleasant Township.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office says Betsey Zerbey of Darbydale may have crossed the street to put something in her mailbox when she was hit while returning home around 8 p.m. Sunday. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, 85-year-old Kenneth Kirk of Grove City, has not been charged.

An investigation is continuing.
