LIBERTY COUNTY, GA : 1 dead after crash on I-95 in Liberty County on Sunday, 9th July 2023

A woman was killed in a two-car crash on I-95 near mile marker 79 on Sunday. Five others, including three minors, were injured in the incident.

Liberty County officials say the woman, now identified as Juatawna Kersey, 34, of Savannah, was thrown from an SUV she was driving and pinned under a pickup truck. Drivers stopped and lifted the truck off of her, officials said.

She died on the scene.
