Wilsonville, OR : One injured in a five-vehicle crash along I-5 near Wilsonville snarled northbound traffic on Saturday, July 12, 2014
One person was injured and another was cited in connection with a five-vehicle crash along Interstate 5 near Wilsonville on Saturday.
Oregon State Police say a car rear-ended a Ford Escape stopped in traffic and caused a chain-reaction crash that involved three other vehicles in the northbound lanes about 2 p.m. near milepost 283.
The car that sparked the crash was traveling on cruise control at about 64 mph before plowing into the Ford, police say. The driver, Jesse Darling, 22, of Seaside, was not injured and later cited for careless driving.
The driver of the Ford, Jennifer Eisenzimmer Price, 45, of Portland, was cut out of her vehicle and taken to OHSU Hospital with apparently non-life-threatening injuries, police said. No one else was injured.
The crash blocked the majority of the northbound lanes for more than an hour.
