A man is dead and a woman was taken to the hospital after a crash on State Road 520, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened Tuesday evening in the westbound lanes of SR-520 near SR-528.

Troopers said Tori Byron, 48, was traveling in a 2002 Ford pickup truck when for some reason she lost control and left the roadway.

The truck then overturned and the passenger, 51-year-old Daniel Byron, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

Tori Byron was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition, troopers said.

FHP said charges are pending and the crash is still under investigation.

SR-520 westbound was closed Tuesday evening after the crash.
