Los Angeles, CA : 22- year-old woman killed in a head-on crash in Gardena On Wednesday December 23 2015

A woman killed in a head-on crash between a car and a big rig in Gardena was identified today as a Los Angeles resident.
Ruth Navas, 22, died in the crash that occurred around 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of El Segundo Boulevard, according to coroner and county fire officials.
Firefighters used the “Jaws of Life” to free Navas and another occupant -- who suffered critical injuries -- from a crumpled Nissan Sentra, county Fire Department Inspector Randall Wright said.
Navas was pronounced dead at the scene.
