Upper Macungie township, PA : Seven injured in Upper Macungie car crash at Route 222 and Mill Creek Road on Friday night, October 3, 2014
Seven people were hurt in a two-car crash at Route 222 and Mill Creek Road in Upper Macungie Township on Friday night, township police report.
The two cars collided at 6:50 p.m. when a Ford Explorer driven by James Rahm, 51, of Upper Macungie, traveling southbound on Route 222 tried to make a left turn onto Mill Creek Road, police said. A Honda Accord driven by Randy Tobal, 31, of Reading, Pennsylvania, struck Rahm's car as he turned, police said.
The light on Route 222 was yellow in both directions at the time of the crash, according to both Rahm and a witness, police said.
Tobal and the four passengers in his car were all injured in the crash. Tobal, 31-year-old Yelena Adames, a 10-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy all suffered moderate injuries. A 3-year-old boy in the car had minor injuries, police said.
Rahm wasn't injured, but his two passengers suffered moderate injuries, police said. His passengers were 48-year-old Leslie Rahm and a 15-year-old boy.
