Clearwater , FL : Police fficer was injured after wo cars collided at the Intesection of Drew street on Monday evening , January 19h 2015

A Clearwater police officer was one of three injured when two cars collided at the intersection of Drew Street and Missouri Avenue just after 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19.

Clearwater police Sgt. Stephen Wannos, driving an unmarked police vehicle, and two people in the other car, a Honda Accord, were taken to area hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Traffic on Drew Street was shut down for more than three hours as investigators conducted their investigation.

Wannos, who has been with Clearwater Police since 1998, and one of the people in the other car were taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. The second person from the other car was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa.
