Sacramento,CA : Girl,9, seriously hurt in two-vehicle crash in Ramona on September, Thursday 21th 2017

9-year-old girl was seriously hurt Thursday when a car she was riding in was broadsided by a minivan on Main Street in Ramona, authorities said.

The two-vehicle collision occurred about 2:30 p.m. near 13th Street, the California Highway Patrol said.

Fire crews freed the girl and her driver from the wrecked sedan. Authorities said the girl was unresponsive and had facial trauma, according to The Ramona Sentinel.

She was airlifted to Rady Children’s Hospital in Kearny Mesa while the driver of the car, a woman between the ages of 18 and 20, was taken to a hospital by ambulance, authorities said. The woman also had suffered serious injuries.

The front-end of the minivan and passenger’s side of the sedan sustained most of the damage.
