FRONTENAC, MO : 1 dead, 5 injured in fatal chain-reaction crash in Missouri on Monday, 10th June 2019

Missouri officials say one person died and five people were injured in a fatal chain-reaction crash that occurred when two vehicles stopped in the middle of a highway to avoid a deer.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the crash happened Friday night when a deer wandered onto Highway 40 near the St. Louis suburb of Frontenac. That led a Maryland Heights woman to stop her Nissan SUV in the highway. A Ford SUV driven by a University City woman also stopped. The Missouri Highway Patrol says that's when a car driven by a Wildwood man slammed into the back of the Nissan. Both vehicles then hit the stopped Ford.
