LAWRENCE COUNTY, AL : Motorcyclist struck and killed by ambulance in Lawrence County on Saturday, 23rd March 2024

A man is dead after being hit by a Hellen Keller ambulance Saturday night.

According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the incident occurred at the intersection of Alabama Hwy 157 and Lawrence County Road 243 around 9:30 p.m.

According to Lawrence County Coroner Scott Norwood, the 33-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as Sidney Lynn Canada II.

The ambulance was reportedly transporting a patient to Birmingham when the incident occurred.
