Camarillo,CA : Authorities identify woman killed in Camarillo crash on December, Wednesday 20th 2017

Authorities on Thursday identified a woman found dead at the scene of a car crash the day before in Camarillo.

Danielle Dupree, 22, of Santa Barbara, died on impact when the vehicle she was riding in somehow went off northbound Highway 101 and crashed into a eucalyptus tree north of Camarillo Springs Road, according to James Baroni, an investigator with the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office.

The crash site, which was out of view of passing motorists, was found and reported at 8:24 a.m. Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash happened sometime overnight and was likely there for hours before being discovered, the patrol reported.
