Burbank,CA : Fremont roadway reopens after crash downs utility lines on April, tuesday 25th 2017

A section of Mission Boulevard has reopened after a solo hit-and-run crash downed power lines across the roadway Tuesday.

At 2:43 p.m., officers responded to a crash in the 41700 block of Mission Boulevard at Callery Court and found an abandoned gray four-door sedan that had hit and knocked down a pole, Fremont police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques said.

Police closed Mission in both directions and set up detours at Driscoll Road and Palm Avenue.

Repairs were estimated to take around two hours, with Pacific, Gas and Electric crews arriving around 3:20 p.m. to begin power restoration and AT&T crews facing a delayed response for phone/Internet line repairs, Bosques said.

Quick work by the utility reopened the roadway around 4:30 p.m.
