SEATTLE, WA : Bad crash blocks MLK Jr. Way for hours early on Thursday, December 29th 2016

A bad crash blocked Martin Luther King Jr. Way for hours early Thursday after a car slammed head-on into a utility pole, police said.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, at the intersection with South Hudson Street, at around 3:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a serious accident.
There were unconfirmed reports that the driver was speeding and suffered a serious injury in the crash.
Investigators have not yet determined what led to the crash.
Northbound Martin Luther King Jr. Way was closed for hours at the scene after the crash, but has since reopened.
