One killed in crash on Interstate 680 in Benicia California

One person was killed after their car crashed Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 680, according to the California Highway Patrol.The solo vehicle crash was reported about 2:50 p.m. after the driver, who was traveling northbound on the freeway at an unknown speed, slammed into a wall near the Industrial Way on-ramp, CHP officers said.The driver, who has not been identified, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.Lanes on I-680 were shut down for over two hours as CHP officers investigated the incident.All lanes were clear and open around 4:42 p.m.Check back for updates.
