La Crosse, WI : One person killed in North Side La Crosse crash early Friday, January 6, 2017

A driver died after his vehicle struck a tree on La Crosse’s North Side early Friday, according to La Crosse police.

A passerby spotted the car about 4 a.m. in the 2400 block of Gillette Street. The car struck a tree in an embankment, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, police stated.

The driver’s name was not released pending notification of family.
