Texarkana, TX : Atlanta man dies of wreck injuries on Wednesday, September 20th 2017

A man injured in a car crash that killed his wife Wednesday night has died from his injuries.

Lawrence Ware, 84, of Atlanta, Texas, died at a local hospital, said Shawn Vaughn, spokesman for the Texarkana, Texas, Police Department. His wife, Norma Ware, 82, was killed in the accident that occurred about 7:35 p.m. Wednesday at South Lake Drive and Buchanan Road.

Lawrence Ware was the driver of a 2010 Lexus that was southbound on Lake Drive and attempting to make a left turn onto Buchanan Road. The car turned into the path of a log truck, driven by Willis Walker, 60, of Ogden, Ark. Walker was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated and released.

Officers continue to investigate the crash, Vaughn said. Police ask that anyone with information about the crash should call TTPD at 903-798-3116.
