Jackson motorcycle crash leaves two dead, closes off I-195 - Asbury Park Press
Two people died Sunday evening after the motorcycle they were riding veered off eastbound Interstate 195 and crashed into a guardrail.The driver, a man from Brick whose name and age were not available, was pronounced dead at the crash scene at mile marker 17.6 in Jackson, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Brian Polite said.The female passenger, whose name, age and hometown were not available, was flown via medevac to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune where she also died.Police are still investigating what caused the motorcycle to go off the road.The crash occurred at about 4:43 p.m., Polite said. Eastbound traffic was shut down at the crash site and re-routed onto an exit ramp for about three hours. Police reopened one of the eastbound lanes at 7:30 p.m.
