PLEASANT HILL, OH : A mini-bike rider suffered severe injuries in a crash on Friday, August 4, 2017

A mini-bike rider suffered severe injuries in a crash with an SUV on Friday evening.Fire and rescue squad units from Pleasant Hill along with Miami County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Rangeline Road and Sugar Grove-Circle Hill Road around 8:15 p.m. for a reported crash between a small motorized mini-bike and a SUV.

Deputies said that the mini-bike rider was eastbound on Sugar Grove-Circle Hill Road when he allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign, proceeded to cross Rangeline Road where he t-boned a southbound SUV.

The 16-year-old male on the mini-bike was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center with a severe leg injury and lots of “road rash”. He was not wearing a helmet.

The driver of the SUV was not injured but a passenger refused transport for treatment of minor cuts due to broken glass.

No names have been released. The crash remains under investigation by the Miami County Sheriff’s Department.
