Tuscumbia,MO : Tuscumbia driver crashes after losing consciousness on May,Monday 21th 2018

A Tuscumbia man was moderately injured in an early Monday morning crash in Miller County.

David Whittle, 63, was not wearing a seat belt as he drove a 2008 Dodge Ram pickup truck west on Missouri 52, according to Missouri Highway Patrol reports.

At about 5:10 a.m., Whittle lost consciousness about 150 feet east of Poplar Road. The truck traveled off the right side of the road, hit a barbed wire fence, continued off the road into a field and hit a tree sustaining extensive damage.

Whittle was transported by Miller County EMS to a local hospital for treatment.
