Red Rock, AZ : Motorcyclist killed in Pinal accident on Friday night, February 24, 2017
A 47-year-old Phoenix man was killed Friday night when he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding on Interstate 10 in southern Pinal County and crashed, authorities said.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety identified the deceased as Frederick Willis Jr.
According DPS, at approximately 9:13 p.m. troopers were dispatched to a call of a motorcycle that went down in the area of eastbound I-10 at milepost 229 between Red Rock and Pinal Air Park. Upon arrival troopers found a man who appeared to have life-threatening injuries. DPS said medical personal arrived shortly after and the rider of the motorcycle was declared dead at the scene.
Troopers shut down all lanes of eastbound I-10, re-routing traffic using the Red Rock exit to the frontage road.
