Elmhurst,IL : Elmhurst man killed in I-294 crash near Rosemont on December, Saturday 16th 2017

57-year-old Elmhurst man died early Saturday after a crash on the Tri-State Tollway, according to Illinois State Police.

The man died after his vehicle struck the median in the southbound lanes of Interstate 294 near mile marker 39 in Rosemont around 11:50 p.m. Friday, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the man as William C. Hines of the 400 block of South Hawthorne Avenue in Elmhurst.

Hines was rushed to Lutheran General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:58 a.m. Saturday.
