PERRYSBURG, OH : Man dies after car crash near Perrysburg on Tuesday, August 15, 2017

An Ottawa, Ohio man died after an apparent medical emergency Tuesday on the Ohio Turnpike near Perrysburg, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Bill Krouse, 48, was found unresponsive after a single-vehicle crash that was reported at 4:28 a.m. near mile marker 66.5. The van he was driving had struck the median wall, and the state patrol said it was reported the driver was suffering a seizure before the crash.

Family members in the van and a trooper attempted CPR, but Mr. Krouse was pronounced dead at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center. The seven passengers in the van were uninjured.
