Nashville, TN : Franklin man killed when motorcycle strikes guardrail on I-65 on Saturday, Oct 10, 2015

Police say a Franklin man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle on Interstate 65 and struck a guardrail.

Multiple media outlets report 47-year-old Thomas Bowers reportedly swerved to avoid slower moving traffic when he lost control of the motorcycle and collided with the guardrail around 6 p.m. on Saturday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say there was no evidence of alcohol or drug involvement.

This is the third fatal motorcycle crash since Wednesday in Davidson County.
