Lewes, DE : Pedestrian walking on Delaware road struck, killed in Lewes on Wednesday, November 19, 2014

Delaware State Police say a man walking in a road in the dark was struck and killed in Lewes. It happened about 5:50 a.m. Wednesday on John J. Williams Highway. Troopers say 75-year-old William McCafferty of Lewes was walking in the traffic lane. McCafferty was hit by a van driven by 36-year-old Jason Jewell of Seaford.
