WHARTON, TX : Man killed, another flown to hospital after being hit by vehicle while working on 18-wheeler on side of US 59 in Wharton on Friday, 6th September 2024

A man is dead and another was flown to Houston hospital after they were hit by a vehicle while working on a broken down 18-wheeler on the side of US 59 in Wharton Friday night.

The Wharton Police Department said it happened in the southbound lanes of US 59 near Ponderosa Road.
