Salt Lake City, UT : Motorcyclist in critical condition after Ogden crash on Saturday, 29th October 2016

A motorcyclist was in critical condition Sunday night after crashing into the side of a car in Ogden on Saturday.

The 49-year-old man was traveling west on 12th Street about 2 p.m. Saturday, said Ogden police Lt. Kevin Cottrell. He veered to the side of the road to pass traffic between the right lane and the curb.

Near Washington Boulevard (400 East), the man struck a sedan turning into a parking lot and was thrown from his motorcycle, Cottrell said. He was not wearing a helmet and was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

The motorcycle hit the sedan with enough force that it pushed it into another car waiting to exit the parking lot. The occupants of the two vehicles did not report any injuries.
