Millsboro, DE : Rehoboth Beach man in critical condition after Millsboro crash on Thursday, 15th August 2019

Delaware State Police are investigating a serious crash that happened Thursday afternoon in Millsboro.

A 2019 Subaru Ascent was traveling south on Indian Mission Road, just north of John J. Williams Highway. A 2000 Ford Explorer was traveling northbound on Mission Road approaching the Subaru. A 2011 Audi Q5 was traveling behind the Explorer.

The driver of the Subaru, a 66-year-old man of Millsboro, crossed the center line in front of the Explorer for reasons unknown, police said.

The operator of the Explorer, a 79-year-old man of Rehoboth Beach, attempted to swerve his vehicle but was not successful, police said.

As a result, the Subaru struck the Explorer. The Audi then struck the rear of the Explorer.

The driver of the Subaru was properly restrained, police said. He was taken to the Beebe Medical Center where he was treated and released with minor injuries.

The driver of the Explorer was not properly restrained and was taken to Christiana Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

The operator of the Audi, a 58-year-old woman of Millsboro, was properly restrained. She declined medical treatment at the scene.
