Tallahassee, FL : Pedestrian hit, killed by car in Orange County on Wednesday, January, 10th 2018

Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating the death of a 73-year-old woman who was hit by a car Wednesday while crossing the street.

Troopers said the woman, identified as Irma Morales, was not in a crosswalk when she was walking across Pershing Avenue near Redditt Road around 6:30 p.m. She walked in front of a car driven by Eisha Williams Correa, 31, of Orlando.

Morales was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Correa was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
