Allentown, PA : A man was injured in a crash on Thursday, June 8, 2017

A man was injured Thursday night on the Turnpike's Northeast Extension in North Whitehall Township when several vehicles crashed, flipping one onto its roof.

The accident was reported 10:10 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the Northeast Extension. Walnutport and Freidens fire companies were dispatched, as was Northern Valley EMS ambulance.State police also were on the scene.

Officials on the scene radioed that everyone was out of the vehicles, and one man was in need of a medical checkup. All vehicles involved were reported off the highway by 10:40 p.m.
