Pedestrian killed in crash in south Springfield was from Branson

It was Springfield's first deadly accident of 2013. SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Police say it was a man from Branson who died after being hit by a car at the intersection of Campbell Avenue U.S. 160Missouri 13 at Weaver Road Farm Road 178 on the southern edge of Springfield. It happened at 9:42 p.m. Tuesday. Officers say Adam Linder, 26, was crossing the roadway from east to west when he was struck.
