Reedsburg, WI : Bicyclist hit by car in Sauk County on Thursday afternoon, July 7, 2016

A 12-year-old boy from Racine was injured Thursday afternoon when his bicycle was struck by a car near Reedsburg.

The boy failed to stop at a stop sign, resulting in the crash, the Sauk County Sheriff's Office said.

He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Reedsburg Area Medical Center for treatment.

The investigation showed Shelly Robinson, 43, of Cazenovia, was driving her car west on Highway 154 and had slowed for a vehicle turning north onto Golf Course Road.

Robinson continued going west as the boy on the bicycle pedaled south on Golf Course Road, getting hit by Robinson's car when he didn't stop at the stop sign.
