Bus for disabled adults crashes in Enon

A bus transporting developmentally disabled adults to vocational activities ended up in a ditch in Enon Tuesday morning.

The Clark County Developmental Disabilities bus crashed at approximately 7 a.m. at Enon Xenia Pike and Southern Vista Drive.

No one was reported injured, but the nine occupants, seven passengers an aide and the 62-year-old female driver, had to wait for crews to stabilize the vehicle before they could be off-loaded, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol Springfield Post.

The patrol said the driver was making a left turn onto Enon Xenia Pike from Southern Vista and went too far. One of the front wheels went off the road and the bus continued into the ditch.

It's unclear whether the driver will be cited.
Another bus was brought to the scene and the passengers were able to continue to their destinations.

Enon Xenia Pike was closed for more than an hour during the rescue.
