BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC : Pedestrian dies in Beaufort County crash on Monday, 7th October 2024

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the death of a pedestrian Monday night.

The crash happened at approximately 9:02 p.m. on Trask Parkway, about 13 miles west of Beaufort, Master Trooper Brandon Bolt said.

Troopers say a pedestrian walking north on the highway was struck by a 2009 Lexus sedan that was also moving north.

The pedestrian died in the crash. That person’s name has not been released by the coroner’s office. The driver of the sedan was injured and taken to an area hospital.
