Point Mugu ,CA : Three people killed andcar sliced after violent two-car crash and slammed into a southbound Honda on Tuesday , March 17th 2015

Authorities say three people have been killed in a violent two-car crash that left a Mercedes sheared in half along Pacific Coast Highway in Ventura County.

California Highway Patrol Sgt. David Hong says the collision on the curvy seaside road happened just after midnight Tuesday near Point Mugu.

Hong says a black Mercedes speeding northbound on PCH slammed into a southbound Honda.

County Fire officials pronounced three victims — two in the Honda and one in the Mercedes — dead at the scene. Their identities were not immediately available.

Officials initially thought three vehicles were involved because the Mercedes was split in half. Hong says the driver of the Mercedes was partially ejected.
