Reno, NV : Pedestrian has died after being hit by car on dark Reno roadway on Thursday night October 2nd 2014

Authorities say a woman was fatally hit by a car after crossing a dark roadway outside of a crosswalk in Reno. Police say they were called a little after 7 p.m. Thursday to Peckham Lane in south Reno. They found the injured woman lying in the middle of the road, and she was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center, where she later died. Her name has not yet been released. Investigators say the driver has been cooperating with the investigation. Detectives say it doesn't appear speed, drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
