Lake Oswego, OR : Pedestrian dies after struck by a pickup truck Interstate 5 southbound on Monday February 8 2016

A pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck and killed in Lake Oswego early Monday morning, police said.
The accident happened around 5:30 a.m., near the intersection of Highway 217 northbound and Interstate 5 southbound.
Investigators said Vicky Stroh of Lake Oswego was crossing Highway 217 in a crosswalk when she was hit by the vehicle. She was wearing headphones at the time and may not have heard the truck coming, according to officer Jim Wolf with the Tigard Police Department.
Stroh had not activated the pedestrian control device on the crosswalk, either, Wolf said.
The driver of the truck stopped at the scene and is cooperating with police.
Police set up a detour around the crash scene, which they said will be blocked until around 10 a.m. The route takes drivers south on Bangy Road from Kruse, then west on Bonita Road to 72nd Avenue and north back to 217.
