Leon County, TX : Elderly woman dies in head-on collision on Texas 79 near Oakwood on Saturday evening, January 9, 2016

A woman was killed Saturday evening in Leon County when her car was struck by an oncoming pickup on Texas 79.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety officials, Catherine Quintero, 67, of Houston was driving southbound on Texas 79 near Oakwood, when a northbound pickup driven by Sueann Rosner, 58, of Oakwood drifted into the southbound lane and hit Quintero's car head on.
Quintero was pronounced dead about 30 minutes after the collision. Rosner was transported to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, where she is being treated for serious injuries.
