CHARLES CITY, IA : A two-vehicle crash near Charles City on Monday, August 28, 2017

Charges are pending in a two-vehicle crash near Charles City Monday evening, according to law enforcement.

The Floyd County Sheriff's Office said in a news release the driver of one vehicle, Michelle Pleggenkuhle, 40, of Fredericksburg, was processed for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Charges are pending lab results, according to the sheriff's office.

The crash was reported at Highway 218 North and 230th Street near Charles City.

Pleggenkuhle was transported to Floyd County Medical Center for treatment of injuries.

The driver in the second vehicle, Michael Cash, 69, of Ventura, reported minor injuries. He was not transported.

The investigation is ongoing, according to law enforcement.
