Joplin, MO : Man hurt in a single-car accident in Newton County on Sunday, April 2, 2017

A Joplin man was hurt in a single-car accident at 11:10 p.m. Sunday on state Highway 43, three miles south of Seneca in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The patrol said the northbound vehicle, driven by Jacob C. Adcock, 23, ran off the road and struck a mailbox and a tree.

Adcock suffered minor injuries and sought his own treatment, the patrol said.
