One woman is dead and another is seriously injured after a head-crash in North Fort Myers Friday.
It happened at the intersection of Old 41 and Willis Road at around 1:40 p.m.
According the Lee County Sheriff's officials, a 1999 Cadillac -- driven by 59-year-old Kimberly Maroney -- was going north on Old 41. At the same time, a 2002 Honda -- driven by 63-year-old Deborah Dancsec -- was going south in the middle of the northbound lane of Old 41. That's when both vehicles collided head on.
Both Maroney and Dancsec were rushed to the hospital. Maroney was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Dancsec sustained serious injuries. She was found at fault for driving on the wrong side of the roadway.
Deputies are still investigating the crash.
