Boyle County ,KY : One Person killed after motorcycle collides with Danville Fire Department SUV on Friday ,May 8th 2015
One person was killed Friday when a Danville Fire Department sport-utility vehicle and a motorcycle collided at one of Danville's busiest intersections, Boyle County Coroner Dr. Don Hamner said.
One of two people on the motorcycle died. Hamner said he would not release a name until the victim's family has been notified. He would not say whether a man or a woman died.
The person driving the fire department SUV was not seriously injured, Police Chief Tony Gray said. The fire vehicle was headed to a reported vehicle fire near Wal-Mart, Gray said.
The collision happened before 11 a.m. at the intersection of the U.S. 127 Bypass and U.S. 150 on Danville's south side, near Wal-Mart and Cracker Barrel. Two other vehicles were also involved in the crash, Hamner and Gray said.
Kentucky State Police investigated, Gray said. A state police accident-reconstruction team finished at the scene at about 2:30 p.m. Friday.
