MENDOTA, IL : Sublette man injured in crash with LaSalle deputy on Monday, December 26th 2016
A Sublette man and a LaSalle County Sheriff’s deputy responding to an accident were hospitalized with what Illinois State Police called life-threatening injuries after their vehicles collided then rolled at an intersection northwest of Mendota on Monday morning.
Martin K. Quest, 59, and Deputy Terry Puckett, 42, were airlifted to OSF St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Rockford after the 10:30 a.m. T-bone at East First and North 46th roads, ISP District 17 said in a news release.
Neither man’s condition was available Wednesday.
Puckett was driving a Dodge Ram with its emergency lights activated, responding to a report of an accident on East First Road. Quest was driving a Chevy pickup.
The collision is under investigation by ISP crash reconstruction specialists. No further details were released.
