Rochester, NY : Alcohol suspected in motorcycle crash on Highway 61 on Wednesday, 19th September 2018

Authorities said alcohol was a factor in Wednesday's crash on Highway 61 that hospitalized a motorcyclist.

The driver of the motorcycle, Zachary Diamond, 19, was airlifted to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, where he was listed in fair condition Thursday.According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Diamond, of Cottage Grove, Minn., was headed south on Highway 61 when his motorcycle collided with a pickup driven by Keith Schumacher, 68, Red Wing. The Schumacher vehicle was entering southbound traffic from County Road 46, according to troopers' reports.
