COLORADO SPRINGS, CO : Driver arrested following 4-vehicle crash in Colorado Springs on Wednesday, 31st January 2024

Three people were critically injured after four cars collided on the interstate Wednesday night.
The crash was reported at Fillmore just before 8:45 p.m. and was described by officers as spanning “across all lanes of traffic on I-25.” Drivers were diverted from I-25 to the Fillmore off-ramp for several hours while first responders worked. The interstate was reopened overnight.
A Colorado Springs police lieutenant told 11 News “numerous people” were taken to the hospital. Three have been listed in critical condition.
CSPD’s Major Crash Team is continuing to investigate the crash but currently believe speeding and intoxication played a role. Police arrested one of the drivers, who has been identified as Dawn Santisteven.
