Middlesex County, NJ: Piscataway woman ID'd as EMT killed in ambulance crash on Saturday, July 25th 2015
A Piscataway woman working with the Spotswood Emergency Services was killed in an ambulance crash Saturday morning, her mother and police said Saturday.Hinal Patel was killed in a multi-car wreck involving a Spotswood ambulance, her mother Darshana Patel said. Darshana Patel declined further comment.At about 7:57 a.m., East Brunswick police responded to the intersection of Cranbury Road and Ryders Lane on a report of a serious motor vehicle crash, East Brunswick Police Lt. Kevin Zebro said in a news release.Mark C. Seube, 22, of Hamilton, was driving a Spotswood ambulance west on Ryders Lane with its lights activated to assist East Brunswick Rescue Squad at a motor vehicle crash with injuries when the ambulance was struck on the passenger's side by a 2013 Toyota Prius traveling south on Cranbury Road through the intersection, Zebro said. Hinal Patel, 22, of Piscataway, was the front seat passenger of the ambulance, he said.The ambulance overturned in the crash and slid into a 2011 Subaru Legacy that was stopped on Ryders Lane in the eastbound lanes.
