BATAVIA, IL : Car crashes into PNC Bank entrance in Batavia on Thursday, March 16th 2017

A 71-year-old driver was injured when her car struck the outside column of the entrance to the PNC Bank at 825 N. Randall Road in Batavia about 5:30 p.m. March 16, according to a news release.

The Batavia Fire Department responded to the scene, and found a vehicle with heavy front-end damage and one occupant in the car, the release stated.

Fire department crews performed a minor extrication to remove the driver and transport her to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital, according to the release, which noted the city of Batavia building department was notified to inspect the damage to the structure.
