No injuries were reported Wednesday after a vehicle was struck and flipped over on its side.
At approximately 12:05 p.m. emergency crews were dispatched to a two vehicle accident at the corner of Apple Harvest Drive and Foxcroft Avenue at the intersection of McDonald’s and Chick-Fil-A.
According to the 911 scanner, emergency crews were advised of the dark color Chevy UT on its side. Medics advised dispatch that two occupants were still inside the vehicle. The other car involved was a light-colored Buick Lacrosse.
Berkeley County Sheriff officers on scene said speed was not believed to be a factor in the accident.
Vehicular traffic was slowed down, however, and motorists were able to move around the accident as crews investigated and cleared the left turn lane at the intersection. The accident was cleaned up in a little over an hour.
In addition to the sheriff’s department, the Martinsburg Fire Department, Baker Heights Volunteer Fire Department, Berkeley County Emergency Medical Service and Big K’s Towing responded to the scene.
