Milwaukee, WI :56-year-old police officer injured in crash with semi-truck on West Bradley Road on Monday morning, April 20, 2015

A Milwaukee police officer was injured following a crash on the city's northwest side Monday morning.

The accident happened at 10:20 a.m. at the intersection of N. 76th Street and W. Bradley Road.

Investigation shows the officer was traveling west on Bradley Road -- with his lights and sirens on -- when he was involved in a crash with a semi-truck, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.

The officer, 56, was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officials said he is an officer with District Four and has 15 years of service.
